DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS. Weekly Report.

Messrs Wright, Stkphenson, and Co. report as follows under date 23rd inst. :— Considering that only a small number of horses came forward for this week's sale, a fair amount of business was done, and at very satisfactory prices— in draughts especially so. The principal salea in this class-were the following— viz. :— One extra cood gelding, rising five years old, by Herd Laddie, at £39 10s ; one very powerful eight-year-old gelding (a very well bred showy horse), by Lord Dunmore, at £37 ; and another of the same age at £34, and a fourth, also of that age, at £32 10s. Several o her aged draughts of medium quality also changed hands at from £16 to £23. The demand for rooc! sound young draught mareß and geldings m practically unlimited, and we can strongly recommend consignments to this market. Strong van hoises are al^o in deniaud, and command ready sale at quotations. Very few light harness horses were entered for this weeks

sale, and as they were of iuferior class only two or three of them changed hands.
