TIMES AND WITNESS CHRONOLOGICAL RECORD.

The following additional notices of out Chronological Record and Supplementary Jubilee Number are to hand : Wyndham Herald : "As a reference work we shall find it valuable. We notice many events therein recsrded about which we had in vain sought information. We congratulate the proprietary on turning out such a worthy production. It will ba preaerved as a souvenir of the great occasion by very many people, we have no doubb." Hawke's Bay Ttslegraph t s "As a whole the number is exbremely creditable to the publishers, and no doubt there will be a large demand for copies of the issue. To old residents of the southern province it will be particularly valued as a concise history of events that marked its history. , . . Eleven closely printed pages are devoted to a chronological record of incidents of interest to Otago and Otagans from 1840' till the present year, a compilation whioh will be of great value as a work of reference." Ellesmere Guardian : " Any^who take any interest in the early history of Otago, or for that matter in the early history of the colony, will read this well-compiled record with avidity. The names of prominent persons connected i with the early days of the colony, the views of different places of interest in the province, the reproductions of early caricatures, and the short notes on various subjects are all well worthy of thoughtful perusal. . . , It is a well executed work, and should be taken into every house, if only as a work of reference."
