OTAGO AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL SOCIETY.
A meeting of the committee of the Obago ' Agricultultural and Pastoral Society was held on Saturday morning, when Me William Patrick presided. Apologies were received from Messrs R. Campbell, A. C. Begg, W. Sourer, G. H. Gilroy, and John Wright. A considerable amount of correspondence relating to the forthcoming winter show was received and dealb with. It was decided that the y sub-committee appointed to .deal with the terms, &c, of grain sa^ei* should meet the raemtbr-rs of the Dunedin Woolbrokers' Association ntxi week, and thftt tfae members of the . i Grain Buyers' ABsociatioti~»hoaid also 'be asked to attend, so that the question might bs finally settled and a uniform scale of charges for all classes of grain be' adopted. Several matters were suggested for discussion at tho Agricultural Conference, and ii; was decided that they should bo refsrred to the suh-comcaittee appointed to deal with these matters ; the appointment oi deleg&tea to attend this coa.j foreuco being helfl over until next meebh-g. j Judges were nominated for the fi*ld turnip t competition and a'so for the competition in ! export butter and cheese. It was decided to j defer the nomirahion of judges of ihe other clssses until next meeting.
