Draughts by Correspondence. Mr A. W. Lowe, Dunedin, writes as follows on March 12 :— My Home match with Mr Braid is getting on well We started in February 1895, and in the last letter I received Mr Braid has drawn the first game, making about three ye&r3 in ptay, and this year should Eeesevei'jl other games finished. I »end you the game below, and wiil let you have the others as they are finished. I also send you a garue played 'with Mr Kelly, of Bavnton, Victoria. I may (-ay that I found MiKelly one of the strongest players I have met by correspondence, and the match was one of the best I have played, being very interesting and a hard fight between us. The s.core was as follows — Lowe 3, Kelly 2, and 7 draws ; and we have just started another match of 14 games— every possible opening with Black-; White to reply as he thinks best.
