OTAGO RIFLE ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL PRIZE FIRING. Lovely weather was experienced on Saturday, when the opening matches for the annual prize firing of the Obago Rifle Association took place at the Pelichefe B*y range. For a cbauge the ammunition supplied by fho Colonial Ammunition Company was deemed quite satisfactory by ail, and some of the scores gave evidence that the marksmen found the quality a great improvement on any that had baen previously used. Among the entrants are : — Staff 1, B Bittery 3, Dunedin Navals 1, Enginteis 2, Highlanders 3, City Guards 4-, North Duuedin Rifles 4-, Bruce R'flVs 1, Bast Taieri Rifles 2, Gore Rilled 2, Riversdale R'fies 1. G Battcrj 1, Ks.itang.it 1 11 fits 3, Dunedin Eifirt Club 8, N^apara Rifle Club 6, Bluff Riflo Club 1. The following are the priza-tukers for the day :—: — HALLENSrunv Match, 200 and 300 yards ; eeven shots at each distance.
