There was a good attendance at the Randwick races to-day. The principal events were :

Villiehs Stakes.— Loch Maire 1, Mecca 2, Skylark 3. Won easily. Time, lmin 15sec.

Summer. Cup.— Tornado 1, Old Clo 2, Insulator 3. Twenty started. Betting : 6to 1 against Toruado, 7 to 1 Asate. 8 to 1 Old Clo. 10 to 1 Positauo.

A close finhh between the placed horseß. Won by a head. Time, Sinin 4Jsec. THE HOPETOUN CUP. Melbourne, December 27. The weather w*b very warm for the races. The prixic : pal event resulted as follows ; — Hc-PErouN Cup, — Chitchat 1, Moonlyong 2, Sortie 3. Fifteen staited. Betting : 7 to 2 agst Chitchat, 5 to 1 Moonlyong. The favourite took charge at the entrance to the straight, and won by a length ;md a-quavter. Time, lmia 45sec.
