NOTES BY JACK. At a meeting, held on Monday, of the Kaikuna Bowliog Club it was unanimously resolved that honorary members be admitted at half the ordinary subscription — viz., one guinea. This course was adopted on the strong recommendation of members of other bowling clubs and friends in the neighbourhood, who, recognising the beauty and perfection of the grounds, are desirous of having an occasional friendly game at bowls. A number of new members were admitted. Members and visiting bowlsrs may now enjoy the privilege of a game in the afternoons as well as in the evenings. Roslyn v. St. Clur. Port Chalmers v. Ddnedin. Playing on the Dunedin green on Saturday, Port Chalmers started with such a strong lead tnat victory seemed more than probable, but ia the end the Dunedin Club won by 4- points. Players and scores :—

HEW ZEALiND BOWLING ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the New. Zealand Bowling Association, held in the Grand Hotel last week, was attended by Messrs James Hislop (president, in the chair), J. F. Peake, J.M'Donald, J. Thomson, "A Mowat, W. Smith, J. Crombie, W. WihoD, J. Wedderspoon, J. T. Smith, R. B. WiUon, T. Moodie, J. Loudon, D. B»xfcar ? G. Capstick, and R. T. Wheeler (hon. secretary). The committee appointed at last meeting presented the proposed new roles, and after consideration these were adopted. A vote of thanks wat passed to Messrs T. Young and TV. Thomson, of the Duaedin Club, who had revised the rules. The president, secretary, and Mr J. M 'Donald were appointed a cub-committee to prepare and issue a programme for the forthcoming Jbourn»menb. It was resolved that six copies of the rules be forwarded to each club affiliated. The secretary was instructed" to write' to the president of each club requesting them to undertake the catering on their own green during tho tournament, and also the couveyance of players from one green to another.
