"Messrs Maclean and Co. report having held a special S-a'e of horses at "1 he ' Crown' yards, Balclutha, on Friday, 17th inst., wben they submitted 30 horses of allclassis. The 1 attendance was very good, and bidding. being keen, especially for any good borsex, tbe sule was very successful, aud nearly all tbe ofTeriugs found buyers at satisfactory pvicep. Geldings sold up to £37 lfs. mares to £26, hacks to £11, ponies to £5 10s.
