The reason I have been so long in writing to you Bl&iSjft was, the harvest being on, I had no time for a week or two to pay jßtofcJSßß^^fflL^ attention to fitting up the new Separator and was running my old HpßHlgßgj§raP|N'^i_ OBe » * n^ I did not wich to write until I could give you a full report. KBBBl|MßpEKapfliiji« I»m pleased to say that the new machine is now Riviog me every BBaig^BJ^jfJsjHaß[ satisfaction, and the machine, I consider, is perfection. I will now give you some of the tests I have taken. 22481b of milk through my old Separator produced lll^lb of butter ; the same quantity through tho Sharpies produced 1201b/ ' You tee the Sharplbs has it by a tosa way. I also made a test of the coal used by the machines. My old machine took 731b of coal to put th-ough 65gal of milk ; the Sharpies took 341b of coal to put through 80galof milk, so you sse there is an immense saving in coal. Another arrangement I have m&de causes the cxhauet steam to condense, so that the boiltr scarcely uses any water. . Altogether I can now aesure you I am highly pleased with my new machine. Herewith you will find enclosed cheque for £50. — I am, &c , WM. KIRKLAND. SOLE AGENTS FOR NEW ZEALAJSHDFINN, GHISIQU, & GO., WELLINGTON.
