At la3b week's meeting of the council of the Southland Acclimatisation Society the following list of proposed distribution of trout fry Ibis season was sanctioned : — CK&utau, 15 000 ; Orawia, 15.000; Waihopai, 15,000; Otapiri, 10,000 ; Upper Matauw, 25.000 ; Lower Oreti, 20,000 ; Makarewn. 25 000 ; Otamita, 20,000 ; Lake Geor^, 10,000 : Stewart Island, 10,00.0 ; Riversd&le, 15,000; Waikiwi, 10,000; Mimihau, 3000.
The secretary of the Acclimatisation Society advertises in this issue a list of places where licenses can bs obtained for the coming season.
