Messrs Moritzson and Hopkin, Dunedin, report (wholesale) as follows for week endiug August 18. All quotations subject to market fluctuations :— Wheat. — Market fairly brisk for prime sample I*.1 *. "We quote : Best velvet — Oamaru 4s 4d to 4s 6d, ■outh 4s 3d to 4s 4d ; best Tuscan— Oamaru 4s 3d to 4s 4d, south 4s 2d to 4* 3d ; red chaff, 4s 14 to 4s 2d ; fowls' wheat, 3s 3d to 3s 7d. Oats : Maiket very quiet aud little business passiDg. During the week a few sales have taken place from Is lid to 2s per bushel, but the demand is not active. We<nave sold prime Sutherland's at 2s id, and can place more at same price." Bright short feed, Is Ud to 2s ; medium and off-colour, Is lOd to Is lid. Barley : Feed sorts are quoted at 2s 3d to 2a 6d : milling, 3s to 3s 3d ; malting, from 4s to 4s Bd. Ryecorn, 3s to 3s 3d. Flouv : We quote £11. Oatmeal in 25'?. £12 10s Pearl barley, £16. Bran, £3 15s. Pollard, £4 103. Nelson hops are quoted at lOid to Is. Chaff : Prime, £3 10s . to £3 12s 6d ; medium, £3 to £3 ss. Ryegrass : Tbe only demand i» for small, shotty seed. Farmers' dressed, 2s to 2s 10d; machined, 3s 3d to 4s Cocksfoot, 3d to 4Jd for farmers' lots, and 4id to 5Jd for machined. Linseed (wanted), £10 10s to £11. Pressed straw, 255. CJover bay, £3 ss. Nitrate of soda, £15. Kainit, £5. Basic slag, £5. Clovers, rape, <fee, just landing. We can offer all classes _ of seeds pure and fresh. Potatoes. — Kidneys (if suitable for seed purposes), £3 to £3 10s. Derwents : Morth, 55s to 57s 6d ; south, 52a 6d to 555. Rabbitskias. —We offered a large catalogue on Monday, and cleared the lot at satisfactory prices. Competitiou vas brisk, and prices ruled slightly firmer. We quote : Prime Winters, 11 Jd to 32Jd ; selected does, 13 A to 13 Jd ; feecond winters, lOd to lid ; autumns. 7d to 9£d ; Bummers, 4£d to 6d ; small, Id to 3d per lb ; Winter blacks, 14d to 17Jd per lb. Sheepskins. — We quote : For butchers' green Cvossbreds, 2s 6 i to 3s fid , extra 4s to 4s 6d ; dry crosßbreds, 2s 5d to 5s 6d ; dry merinos, 2s 3d to 3s 6d : medium do, Is 6d to 2s : pelts, 4d to Is9d. . Hides, lid to 3Jd, according to weight and Condition. Tallow : Rough fat, 9s to lls ; rendered, 12s to 15s. Horsehair. Is to Is 3d. We are now prepared to make advances on VrooL . FRUIT AND PRODUCE REPORT. Butter : Prime salt— Dairy-made, 8d ; good, 7d. Cheese : Good Akaroa, 4d to 4}d ; factory, 4Jd. Pigs.— For good quality, 1301b to 1701b, 4d. Poultry received for sale any days but Saturdays. , Roosters (young), 2s to 33 , hens, 2s 6d . ducks (young), 4s to 4s 6d. Beeswax, Is to Is 2d for best. Fruit.— ■ We receive consignments of all kinds of fruit and garden produce, which we sell either by JHuction or privately, as we think best in the interests of consignors. Tahiti oranges, 8s per case. Hobart apples ? Crabs, 9s ; Sturmera, 9s ; scarlets, aos. We supply rabbit and sheep netting, and give special quotations hv the mile. We also supply oilcake.
