DIPTON.

August 13.— 0n Monday Mr Isaac Snow, of this place, had his leg broken •while riding round the road from East to West Dipton. One of the school children was going in the opposite direction pn a pony, and by some means Snow's right foot caught the ponjrs rump and twisted his leg, breaking the bone between the knee and the ankle. He was conveyed to the hospital, and is Bow doing as well as can be expected. Another Accident.— To-day a youth named John Noble (who was ploughing for Mr Murdooh M'Kenzie, a contractor) was sent to onc'of the upper paddocks about the township for a whiffle tree. He took one of the draught horses with harness and all on it to ride up, but somehow the horse stumbled, and it is believed rolled over him, breaking an arm. It is thought he is hurt internally. He will be sent to the hospital this evening.
