Auckland, July 7. At a nieating of directors of the Barrier Gold and Silver Estates Company, held this morning, ■ an option over the property was granted to the Melville Corporation for eight months. A working capital of £20,000 is to be provided, and the local shareholders are to leceive 25 per cent, of their shares ' in any new company, that is formed. July 8. July 12. Among the passengers by the Westralia is' the Rev. Mr Campbell, who returns from London, where he initiated a company for carrying out the hy pei phosphoric process of saving sold. The machinery arrived by the Star of Victoria, ana was stored here pending Mr Campbell's arrival. He proceeds to Te Aroha to erect the machinery at once.
