Both Wellington papers unite in condemning the destruction of shrubg on the Thorndqn esplanade, which has now been completed, despite all protests. Ib was apparently done by order of tha City Council. The trees that have been sacrificed are all native plants, and one of them— the taupata— was specially planted beoßuaa $ resist! sea epray well-
