Saturday midday quotations :— Big River, 15i to 16* ; Bullcr dredge, sstoos; (Jumbeilaml, Is 4d to ]s Sd ; Dillon Extended, Is to Is 3d ; Golden Lsad, la to Is 3d ; Hercule?, Is 3d to Is (id ; Humphrey's Gully (paid up), 17s to 18* ; loglewood, 6d to 91 ; Lyell Creek, Is :5d to Is (>d ; Lord Edward, Is 3d to Is 6d; Keep-it-Daik, 27s to 28s: No. 2 South Dark, Is to Is 3d ; Alpine, 5s 6 1 to Gi 6d ; United Italy, 6d to 9d ; Welcome (paid up), 3s to 4s. Owing to limit of business the above quotations am nominal. The following is the Bi_e River report for the past week :— " We discontinued driving the. prospecting drive between Nos. 5 and 6 level on Tuesday. Since then the hands ha\e beeu employed cleaning out and retimbering tbe intermediate level between NO3. 1 and 2 levels. It will take some time to get, into the face, as all the drive in down. No G level has been driven a further distance of 15ft for the week."
