BRIGHTON.
November 30.— There is every prospect now of our haviug a change to fine weather, which has bsen looked forward to for some time. The crops are in capital condition, and I hope the improvement in prices will be maintained till they are harvested Political.— l am of opinion that Mr Carncross, our M H.R , has a poor show of beine re-elected as out representative for the coming Parliament. Miscellaneous —I notice the boarding houstes are looking a bit busier now than they did a few weeks back. Should fine weather prevail, a great number will seek accommodation here, as Brighton is a favourite resort for fishing, shooting, boating, and bathitig, aud one which cannot be equalled elsewhere. Local Industry.— Our butcher is doing much better now than - was the case during the winter. I hope when .the visitors come they will encourage local industry, instead of buying elsewhere.
