THE BOUNDARIES FOR OTAGO. Wellington, August 11.

Though the Gazette with the new boundaries is not published till to-morrow, I am able to give you a detailed account of the Otago electoral dibtriets :— Oamauu comprises the Kakanui, Waiareka, and Papakaio Ridings of Waitaki County ; that portion of Otepopo Biding of Waitaki County lying within the -existing Waitaki- Electoral District from &aheno to~tha western bpundary of block XIV, Otepopo Survej' District, at the west braucli of the Waianakurua River ; and that portion of the Incholme Riding of WaiGoM Countyeituated in thi existing Oamaru Electoral District. This district also includes the Borough of Ownaru. Waihemo comprises the whole of the Counties of Waihemo and Maniototo,' the IHawksbury Riding ' of Waikouaiti County, the Moeraki Riding of Wait«ki County, and the portion of Otepopo Riding of Waitaki County in the existing Waihemo Electorate ; together with the Boroughs of Palmarston, Nnseby, and Hampden. Chalmers compris.es the whole of \Voikouaiti. County excepting the Hawksbury Hiding: the whole of the Peninsula County excepting the, Andersons Bay dißtrlot, which lies to the westof the line commencing at North-East Harbour about a mile east of Burnt Point and proceeding over the hill, passing Harbour View, and thence following the western boundary of Tomahawk Road District to the Lagoon, and thence along a line to Lawyer's Head, together with the Boroughs of Poit Chalmers and Hawksbury and that portion of the Borough of West Harbour situated east of the dividing line between Ravensbonrne and Rothesay Townships, and east of section 66, block IX, North Harbour and Bluckin District. Quarantine Island is in this electorate. Ths City of Dunedin" comprises the City of Dunedin ; the Boroughs of North-East Valley and Mornington, together with that portion of the Borough of Roslyn lying southeast of sections 129,128, 127, 126, 125. 124, 123, 122, 121, 120, 119, 118, 117/ 110, and" H5, Walcari District, south of original sections 114, 113, 112, 111, 110, 109, 108, 107, 103, 105, and 104, Wakari District ; that portion of the Borough of Maori Hill lying south east of original sections 14 and 1, block 11, Upper Kaikorai District, block XI, Dunedin and East Taieri District, and of sections 94, 92, 90, 88. 86, 74, and 82, Wakari District, and of sections 47 and 48, block V, Dunedin and Jfiast Taieri Districts, and of sections 11, 4, 3, and 1, block VIII, North Ha'bonr and Blueskin District ; and that portion of the Borough of We*t Harbour situate we. t of Rothesay Township and west of sections 50 i 5 aud 2 of 29, block IX, North Harbour add Klueskin Districts. Caversham comprises the Borough of Caversham, South Dunedin, and St. Kilda, together with that part of Peninsula County embiacing most of the Anderso'.'s Bay District and desoribei as lying on the west of a line starting on Otago Harbour about onemileeastof Burnt Point, ar.d proceeding over the hill, passing Harbour View, and thence on to the western boundary of Tomahawk Road District, along that boundary to the Lagoon and thence down to Lawyer's Head. Taieri omprises the whole of Taieri County excepting that portion of Maungatun Riding lying south of Lee Stream, and excepting also that portion of Otakia Rid i ng situated south-west of the roadstarting at the Sea coast at the southern boundary of section 9, block 111, Otakia District, and proceeding .westerly passing the following sections— namely, lof 12,2 of 13, 14, and ]5, block—, Otakia, 36, 34, 33, 32 31, 2of 29, 1 of 29, 2of 28, 1 of 26, 1 of 26, 25, and 10, block IV, Otakia District ; together with the Boroughs of Mosgiel and Green Island ; that portion of the Borough of Roslyn situated northwest of original sections 14, 13, 12. 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 5 4, 3, 2, and 1, Lower Kaikorai District, northwest of original sections 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17. block IV, Upper Kaikorai District, and of section 20, block 111, Upper Kaikorai District, and that portion of the Borough of Maori Hill lying north-west of section 13, block 11, Upper Kaikorai District, of section 2 of tbe said block 11, of section 7, block VI £, Upper Kaikorai, of 1, block Xi North Harbour and Blueskin. District, 1 0f 73, 2 of 73, 74, and 72, block XI. North Harbour and Blueskin District, aud north- west of the southern boundary lines of sections 11, 5. 4, and L Block Vlir, North Harbour and Blueekin District. Bruce comprises the whole of Bruce County, the Riding of Waitahuna of Tuapeka County, and the Riding of Olarkesvillft of Olutha County-; that part of Maungatua Riding of Taieri County southeast of Lee Stream, and that portion of Otakia Riding of Taieri County on the south•weit side of the road starting at the southern boundary of section 9, blook 111, Otakia District, and proceeding westerly, passing the following lectionß. viz. :-l of 13, 2 of 13, 14 and 35, block 111, Ofcftkia District, 37, 84, 33, 31 : Bof 29, 1 of 29, 2 of 23, 2 of 26,1 of 27, 25 and 20, blook IV,

Otakia District ; together with the Boroughs of Milton and Kaitangata. Tuapekacomprises all the Tuapoka County excepting the Ridings of Tapanui and Waitahuna, together with the Matakanui, Mauuherikia, Eirnßcleugh, I and Dunstan Ridings of Vincent County, and the Boroughs of Lawrence, Roxburgh, and Alexandra, i Clutha comprises the whole of the Ciutha County less Oiydevale Riding, the Tapanui Riding of Tuapeka County, the Otaraia Road District of Southland County, and that portion of the Knapdalc Road District of Southland County situated within the existing Clutha electorate, together with the Boroughs of Balclutha and Tapanui and Clinton Town District. WATiATIPO couvprif es the whole of Lake County, the Ridings of Hawea, Carrick, Lindis, and Olutha of Vincent County, the Riding of Waikaia of Southland County, the portion of Knapdale Road District of Southland County within the existing Wakatipu Electoral District, and the portion of Hokonui Riding of Southland County in the existing i Wallace Electoral District, together with the Boroughs of Queenstown, Arruwtown, and Cromwell. Matahra comprises the whole of Waihopai and Toi Tois Ridiugs of Southland County : the portion of Hokouui Riding of Southland County in the existing electorate of Mataura ; and that portion of Southland County known as the. Tuturau Road District, together -with the Bojough? of Gore, and Mataura and Wyndham Town District. Awarua comprises the Wallacetown and Winton Ridings of Southland County; that portion of Awarua Riding of Southland Comity within the existing Awarua Electoral ; together with the Boroughs of ' Wiuton and Camphslltowi), Stewart Island, Ruapukf, Aute, and'Djg Islands. Tnvercakgili, ' • has the same boundaries as the existing Invercargill Electoral District. Wallace comprises the whole of the Counties of Wallace and Fiord, the 'Oreti Riding of Southland, and the Borough of Riverton and Otautau Town District.
