Messrs Thomas Paterson and Co., fruit and produce agetitg, Manse street, report for the week ending July 8 :—
Fruit.— Market barely supplied. Pears unobtainable. Apples range from 7s 6d to 8s 6d for local cooking ; 8s to 10j dessert ; imported apples, 12s. Oranges : D.E. Tahiti (for which we are agents), the best for keeping, witli little waste, 6s 6d to 7b ; Island (to arrive), 53 6d ; Sydney, for best quality 5s to 6s, inferior and medium 4s to 4s 9d. Pineapples, Bspercaae. Bananas, 2d to 2Jd. Tomatoea, 6d. Peanut", 3d to 3Jd. Coeoanuts, 10s. Barcelouas, walnutß, new d*te.s, figs, <fee. lowest prices.
Producs — Egtrs scarce, and wanted. Fresh butter (wanted), 8d to lid ; prime salt "butter, 8d to 9d (wanted). Bacon : Roll, sid. Hams, 6id to 7d. Cheese: Factory, 4i& to 4}d; dairy, 3Jd to 4Jd. Honey: Prime, 4Jd ; medium, 3d to 3Jd. Beeswtx (good demand), la Id. Potatoes : Derwent*. £2 15s to £3; prime seed kidneys have a good inquiry. Onions, £7 10a to £8 10e. I'oultry has goori demand. We receive consignments any day. We aho receive con?ignitf«rits of grain, fruit, and farm produce of all descriptions. We advise our country friends to give our Australian Aromatic Horso and Cattle Food a trial, 5s per 71b bag.
