Guinness; M,H R., and Duncan M'Laau, ofi Greymouth, members of the Advisory Isoar<L Mr Stratford, S.M., and the chairman of the Inangahna Couuty Council, who were appointed at the last sitting of the conference, deoiined to act on the Advisory Boned, Communications were received from the Duaedin and Wellington committees contend* ing th&t the charge of 1 per cent, commission to be made by the Publio Trustee was excessive* and urging that fcho fund should be administered by tbe department free of coat. The Premier said tho position had been misitnderetood. There vm pruotically no chargo heing made. It was decided to refer the letters t» the Publio Trustee, asking him to explain the position.
