OAHARU GOLF.
(Fbom Oub Own Cobbespondent.) Timaru v. Oamaeu. On Monday, 25th ult., a team of Timaru golfers journeyed to tho White- Stone city to try their skill against the Oamaravians. The weather was simply perfect;, and this no doubt accounted to some extent for the large tnrn out of. spectators to wituess the play. The links were in splendid order, and the "puttiDg" greens were also keen and true. The play throughout was interesting, the game, as will be seen, ending in a tie, each side's score being 58. At the ooncluaion of the play the visitors were entertained by the captain of (he locaj Club, air J, 8, Holmes, after whiob, they ftftfe
