Notes from Lyell.
Lyeij., May 15. The -manager of the Lyell Creek (Jompany reports :—"The winze has been funk a distance of Bft. The reef ia getting hinder again. The winze is sft in width, all on cleau atone, and no sign of the hanging wall. The quality of the stone i* about the same." The manager of the Cocksparr-iw Dredge reports for the week as fol'ows :—" We have only dredgid 34 hours this week, the coal contractors not having delivered any coal, consequently the dredge is kud up waiting for a supply of fuel." ]
