Afc a meeting held to-night, attended by about 109, a Wellington branch of the New Zealand NafciVe*' Association was formed, and a. provisional commibtee appointed to draw up rule?. It was explained that the association was b*Bed on the xulesf of the Australian Natives' Association, and would take the form of a national benefit, literary, and social society. The association would t*ke no patt in parby politics, and no religious discussions would he allowed at any of its meetings, all creeds meeting on a common platform, and for that reason the association would oppose the teaching of religion in State schools.
