Lyell, May 8. The manager of the Cocksparrow dredge reports for the week as follows :— " We have dredged 109 hours for a return of 250z 6dwt of amalgam, but the most of our dredging was silt. We have only got the face of the wash acrosß the paddock today (Friday). The last flood left bev-ml snag* in the face, which we wate obliged to clear away." The ruin manager of tho Ly<sll Creek Company reports :— " Since finishing the crosscut we have sunk 6ft, making the total depth of the winze 88ft. There is no material ohange in the reef, except that it is not quite so ni»ty. The quality of the stone has also improved during the week."
