• . • The Now Zealand Cricket Council met last Friday to consider the terms offered by th« various association* in the colony for a vnit of the Australian team next season. Ib was resolved that alternative offers be made to tho Australian Eleven tor £650 for five matches based on guarantee* from Hawke's Bay, Wel« lington, Canterbury, and Southland, and tb.B takings ef a New Zealand m^toh, or seven matches on the teruia offered by the different associations, with a minimum guarautee of £150 for a New Zealand match ; that It be a condition that the matches either bo played out or that there be three days' play, with tho exception o? the matches at Napier »nd Inter* cargiM, which would ba limit id to two days.
