Monday, 4th inst., ftt which there were presenfr* Messrs Myera, Hides, Jowitt, Williams, Ros* Freed, Stratton, Thomas, A. M&thews, P. Aitkeo, Barnard, M'lndoo, Caiaeron, and Dodds (secra> tary). Mr Myers was votea to the Chain, Mr Jowitt reported re show benches for docs. He had had plans prepared of such benches, and a Bufnqient number fur their requirements could be obtained for about £70. He desired to know if tbe committee would authorise their erection, as he thought that amoDgst-his friends .he might b» able to obtain some conniderable asautanca towards their coat.— -After discussion it wu resolved that the benches be obtained. Letters ware received from Messrs Maude and Smyth as to acting as judges, when it was unanimously resolved that Mr Maude be appointed to judge the poultry and pigeon classes of the show and Mr Smyth the whole of the dog section on the terms mentioned in their respective letters, and the secretary was instructed to communicate with them by the first steamer It was aho decided that the ju J«r<-BJ «r<-B should not only be asked to remain in Dunedin for a djy after the show, in order to allow exhibitors to have an opportunity of interviewing them, but ,that they must also write an official rep->rt on the sections which tt»ey have judged for tn« information and use of the committee, and for publication if necessary. A large numbir or circulars referring to canfaa matteis was received from the secretary of tha New Zealand Kennel Club, which were, after being read, handed to the dog section of the com* mtUee > for their consideration and report. A subcommittee Consisting of Messrs Myers, Barnard, and Jowitt were appointed to arrange about tho hall for the foitb-.oiaing show. Mr Jowitt was appointed ah ,a vie;-president of the club on the branch of 'mnn^gement of the Naw Zealand Kennel Club. Mr B. H. Ncill sent in bis resigns* tion as a member erf committee as he was about to visit England. It was resolved that the same be accepted with reg. et, and Mr H. H. Bailey waa elected in his place. The secretary reported, tha result of his visit t<) Wellington to attend the adjourned annual meeting of tbe New Zealand Kennel Qhib, and stated that he had invited Messrs Kenning and Brown to act as delegate* for this pociety for the etisuing year. Hii action was approved of and the appointment confirmed. -He also said that ho had been authorised by telegram to appoint two delegates to the game position on behalf of the Southland As?ociatio», and he had selected Messrs Triggs and Did«bury, which choieo, he was glad ti say, had met with the approval of the Southland Society. The Secretary aho reported tbafc the schtdul's had been printed, and would be circulated innundiatctly, and ulso that he had obtained the numbers' tickets for the ytar. Considrrwblo discussion took place on the rule regarding sdmission to the judging ring during the time the judge was making his rounds, the Chairman eventually saying that he had giv*n great consideration to the matter, and he hoped by next meeting to bring up a report oa the subj-cct which would satisfy all parties. AfUr some routine business, the committee adjourned, after the usual vota of thanks to the chaiunan for pro-idin*.
