Christchurch, May 13. There were mailer entries than for some time past at Addingtou to-day, the sh*ep classes showing the greatest falling" off The attendance was good. The entries for the day comprised 8895 sheep, D^S cattle, aud 696 pigs. Fat C/ttle.— About, 180 head yarded, mootly light-height sorts. Bidding showed ninre life than of late, and the better classes met with good competition. Steers, £Q 7s 6d to £9 12s fid; heifers, £'i 15s to £7 12s 6d ; cows, £3 7s 6d to £7 178 Gd; prime beef, 18s to 20s per 1001b ; inferior to vat dium, 13s to 17b. Dairy C*ttle.— Good young cows, £6 to £8 5s ; aged and doubtful, £2 10s to £5. Fat Shuep —A medium t-ntry, containing a large proportion of sheep of freezing quality. The denntiul for all classes wat. keen, and late prices well maintained. t J rinie heavy weight crossbred wethers, lHs to 17s; prime freezing do, 14s Cd to 15s 6d ; medium do and prime mixed sexes, 12« 9d to 14s 3d ; prime heavy we'ghfc ewes, lit to 13s 6d ; medium trade do, 8s 6d to 10s 6d ; meiiuo do, 6s 6d to 8s lOd. Fat Lambs.— The sale was unsatisfactory for vendors of any but the best eort/j, th»>e being a drop of from Is to Is 6.1 ou sco ndaiy lines.
