The appointments of Captain Campbell Preston to be the Governor's ' aide-de-camp (vice Captain Clayton, resigned) and Captain Guy Fielder ai asiistant aide-de-camp are gazofcted. Mr Philip Kippenberger is recognised provisionally as German Consul ab Ohristohnrch. Mr Robert Pitoaithley is recognised as Oonmlar Agent for the United States abChrisfcchnich. Mr F. (J. B. Waldegrave U gazetted Undersecretary ' for Justice (vice Mr Haselden, retired). Mr H. B. Johnsoa is appointed judge of too Native Land Court, Validation Court, and Native Appellate Coutt. A despatch that her Majrsby has assented to certain acts pa*sed last session is gazetted. During March 1373, persons arrired in the colony ; 90 cime from the United Kingdom, -818 from New South Wales, 296 from Victoria, 1 from South Australia, 93 from Tasmania, 38 from Fiji, 23 from ths Pacific Islands, 10 from foreign ports and from other .British possessions. The departures were 2367 ; 208 going to the United Kingdom, sto Q.-e»naland, 1515 to New South Wales, 410 to Victoria, 124 to Taimania, 16 to Fiji, 10 to tho Pacific Islands, 55 to foreign ports, and 20 to other British possessions.
