(Per United Press Association.) « Christchurch, April 29. There were large entries iv most departments at Addingtun yard 3 to-day, sheep and pigs especially being well represented. There was a^ood attendance, and business throughout was brisk. Fat C*ttle. A moderate supply of mixed quality. Prime sort* scarce, ani' the Bale lacke . auimation. Prices remain utmlt'-red— 13s to 17s per lOulb for iff erior cow beef, 18s to 20s for prime heifer and other sorts ; steers, £5 17» 6d to £8 12s 6d ; heifers, £4 12s 6d to £7 ; cows, £4 15s to £6 2a 6d. Dairy Cattle. -Good cows, £6 to £7 10s } inferior and aged (hard to quit), £3 to £5.
