At the distance Courallie was beaton, and Noblt man, on the rails, set to work to deal with Ruenalf, aud got ah*ad, passing the post first by two lengths. The gelding Bel Qiorno broke his le^ when he fell in the High-weight Handicap, and had to be destroyed. John Gough, the jockey, had bit arm and jaw broken. Mannlicher, Musketry, and Miueer, the property of Mr Stead, left for New Zealand in the Wakatipu to fulfil their spring engagements in that coloay. Hopscotch's victories have made him \ firm favourite for the Caulfield Cup, and all the money in the market has been taken about him at 10 to 1. He has also been supported for both Cups at price 3 ranges from 1000 to 5 to i 1000 to 10.
