REPORT. Wednesday, September 26. Fat Cuttle.— At Burnside to day 134 head were yarded — about half being prime quality boilocka, the nsst consisting of light weight bullocks and cows and heifers. For prime quality there was a good demand, and prices were about equal to last week's prices ; but light weights showed a slight falling off. Tallow.— This niavkot is not brUk ; the quantity available is small, and business is confined to tho disposal of 'country con -ignments. Quotations: Prime rendered, 17s to 18s per cwt ; medium, 14s to 16s ; inferior, lls to 13s ; rough fat, 8s 6d to Ha 6d. Grain.— Wheat : Transactions are on a small scale, and confined chiefly to fowl feed. Millers are not now so aiixti>un to do butiness, having very full supplies, and It is doubtful if Into quotations can bo long maintained. No milling in being offered at auction ; sales of this class being by private treaty. Prime, 3s 101 to 3a lid; good, 3s 9d to 3s 9^d ; fowl fc-ed, 3s 2d to 3s 8d accerding to quality. Oats : Last we»k'n spurt at auction has not been maintained, and prices are again at previous level. Stocks are, however, running low, and as tho season advances we may reasonably expect the market to firm, A good deal depends on Australian reports-, but apart from these values are not I likely to recede further. Chaff. — Fairly heavy supplies havo been coming to hand and demand ut tha moment is le*s active, but prices continue firm.
