A BOMB OUTRAGE.

Pahis, September 5. An Anarchist carrying a bomb attempted to light the fuse inside Rothschild's Bank. A detective who observed him immediately seizad the man, and in the struggle tho fuae was fortunately extinguished. The Bcoundrel was arrested. September 6. Shortly before the closing of the bank the police Baw a man enter the building contfealing something under his coat, and followed him. On reaching the staircase leading to the first storey the man was caught trying to light the f use at the end of a cigarette. Upon seeing the policeman he threw the bomb violently on the ground, but the thick carpet prevented an explosion. The would-bo assassin rushed into the street, but finding it impossible to escape, he drew a razor and tried to cut the policeman's throat. The latter drew his swerd and held the Anarchist at bay, while a second gemlartna seized him. The Anarchist who has been arrested for the outrage at Rothschild's bank resembles the man Powers, who committed a similar offence at the Church of La Madeleine. He refuses to give his name. He admits that the present was a genuine attempt to destroy the bank, but declares that the letter which injured Baron Rothschild's private secretary was only a hoax.
