WEEKLY MARKET REPORT.
Messrs Moritzson and Hofkin, millers, grain produce, and commission agents, corner Bond and Jetty streets, Dunediu, report (wholesale) a* follows for week ending May 15, 1895. All quotation' subject to maiket fluctuations :— Wheat: Prime quality is wanted, and we can place all offering at quotations. Velvet, 2s lid to 3s ; Tuscan, 2s lid to 3s ; red chaff, 2s 9J to 2s lOd. Oats : We have inquiry for a few thousand sacks of bright Sutherland s and bright plump sparrowbills. Prime milling, Is 3Jd to Is 4d ; best feed, Is 2Jd to Is 3J ; ordiuaty, lis2d. Bailey : Piiine quality, 3s ; other good malting, 2s b'i ; inferior, 2s to 2s 4d. New season's Nelson hops just landed. We can supply at Sd here. Grasj seed : Ryegrass —We have done goofl business at quotations. Machine dres3ed—Perennial, 3s 6d to 4s; undressed, small, shotty seed, 2s 8d to 3i ; medium and dirty lots from 2s to 2s (id. We have good inquiiy for clean and uncleaned seed. Cocksfoot : We are prepared to quote fpr laree or small lines ; samples on application. Values range fiom 4d to 4Jd for good . seed. Chaff ; We quote prime, we'l cut, 45? ; medium, 30s to 376 6d. Kainit, £5 per ton; nitrate of soda, £15; just stocked. Dairy farms for sale from 100 to 200 acres, well watered and in English grass ; factory on the property ; good wheat land. We receive rabbitskins, hides, sheepskins, and tallow, and return highest market values. We cordially invite all farmers visiting the agricultural Winter show iv Dunedin to pay us a visit and inspect our gras3 seed cleaning machinery in full working order. And if anyone has a very dirty line of ryegrass— containing goose and hairgrass, soriel, docks, Yorkshire fog, capevseed, rape, clover, and wild turnip— kindly send it in and we will clean it while present. Our machinery wilJ be open for inspection during the whole of the three days. FRUIT AND PRODUCE REPORT. Butter : Salt, good quality wanted at 6Jd to 7d per lb ; medium, hard to sell at 5d ; inferior, 2d to 3d. Market easier. Cueesb ; Akaroa, 4d ; prime factory, did.
Onions : Victorian, 7s. Improving in value every week. Pigs : Hard to sell at 3d to 3Jd peril). Potatoes : Good Derwents are selling at 35s to 37s GJ. Kidneys, if small, good shape, suitable for see 1. 50s to GOj. We have some good lines suitable for seed. Fruit : Tahiti oranges, 8s Gd
