NEW ZEALAND BOWLING ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the New Zealand B jwling Association, held on Thursday evening, was attended by Messrs James Horsburgh (president, in the chair), J. R. Monson, J. H Louden, J . G. Moore, J. R. Thornton, A. M'Donald, M. Sinclair, W. D*vie«, T. Moodie, A Mowat, E. Hogg, and R F. Wheeler (secretary). Apologies for non-attendance were received from Messrs Capstick, Wedderspoon, and Qreenelade.

The question of the minimum bias for bowls during the coming tournament having been considered, after a long discussion it was decided that no alteration be made for this year, but that the matter be dealt with later on regarding future tournaments.

It was derided to commence the tournament on January 14, 1895, and Messrs James Horaburgh, M. Sinclair, Dr Thomas, A. M'Donald, B. Hale, J R Thornton, J. H. Louden, J. W. Mitchell, C F. Greenslade, D Macpherson, H. II Inglis, F. Peake. J. R. Monson, and R T. Wheeler were appointed a tournament committee to draw up a programme, and report to next meeting.

The Balclutha Bowling Club wrote askinp to join the association, which was uuanimously agreed to.

Mr Thomas Walter, son of the lat9 Mr Walter, proprietor of the London Times, was married at Wellington on the 12th to Miss Nellie Gore, daughter ot Mr R. B. Goro, secretary to the museum.
