The Moa Creek Appointment. TO THE EDITOR.
Sib, — In reply to the letter dated 4th in*t. over the signature of Arthur Wilson, farmer, Ida Talloy, I wi-h to state that Arthur Wilson was never asked to take the new teacher as a boat tier. The facts are as follows: — At a nveting of fommitfcee held to coDsider the appointment of Misa White as our te&cber, the quest" on of lodgings was brought up. The chabinan slated that be asked hlrt Wilson if sto would lodge the new teacher, and ste replied, "We might take her for a week or two, but we don't care to have her." I have no reason to doubt the truth of the statement made by the chairman, having heard the Wilsons make similar remarks myself, and I wrote to tbe board accordingly. I did cot intend taking any notice of Mr Arthur Wileon's letter, as Lis jeasons for getting ifc ■written are well known in this district. But when I ?aw by the paper thvt Mr Ramsay was making u-e of it sgninsfc our rommi'tee at the meeting of tbe board I thought it was time to contradict it. — I am, &o ,
A. M'lntosh, Secretary Moa Cresk School Committee. Ida Valley, October 22.
