DUNEDIN BURNS CLUB.
The monthly meeting of the Dunedin Burns Club was held at the Choral Hall last night. The Hon. Thomas Fergus, president of the club, occupied the chair, and there was a very large attendance, the hall being crowded in every part. Tho programme, consisting of songs and recitations, which was carried out appeared to bo greatly enjoyed, every item being well received. Mr J. B. Fergusson sang " John Tamson's Bairns"; Mr Morrison, "When the kye come hame"; Mr J. Christie, "The march of the Cameron men" ; Mr Cooper, " Where has Scotland found her fame" ; and Miss A. Cooper, ' Jessie's dream." Songs were also sung by Miss Walker and Mr M'Lennan, Messrs Christie and Davie contributed a duet, and recitations were given by Dr Stenhouse and Mr J. Ross, Mr J. Muir gave a reading, and the chairman aud Mr J. B. Thomson briefly addressed those present. The meeting concluded with the singing of "Auld lang syne "by the company. Messrs J. B. Fergusson and Simmons, it should be stated, acted as accompanists during the evening.
