A NOVEL INTERRUPTION. A pleasant change to the monotony of the committee work at the sitting of the Congregational Union was caused by a lady in the afternoon. Knowing that so many men were in solemn conclave assembled she entered the church with & baby in her arms, and asked that the little one might be baptised. She gave as her reason that she purposed leaving Auckland
to-day and wished the ceremony performed prior to her departure. Her request was acceded to.
