At the wool sales prices occasionally tend jln buyers' favour. Competition is brisk i lad prices firm. December 7. Wool is firm, and competition brisk. The total quantity catalogued up to dato is 127,000 bales, oi which 11G.00O bales were sold. The wool market is steady, and prices are exchanged. Mosgiel is bringing 7rjd. December 11. 2k.t the wool sales only a poor selection pas offered Price 3 remain unchanged. Sydney, December 7. There has been a large business done in vroul this v/eek, and rates have been well i supported, competition being lively. Greasy < jrossbreds, (s id to lOd per lb ; scoured fleeces, j 10] d to Is s£d. Melbourne, December 7. The wool competition has been exceed- * mgly brisk, especially for greasy merinos, which are very firm, with an upward tendency. Prices for crossbreds and faulties . ore somewhat irregular.
