THE CUSTOMS REVENUE.
The revenue collected at the custom house during the past month on goods cleared for consumption amounted to £24,555 11s, and the beer duty came to £1321 3s. In the corresponding month of last year £25,418 12b lOd was collected on goods cleared for consumption and £1180 0s lid for beer duty. Wellington, May 1. The customs revenue for April was £123,146,. compared with £140,965 last month, and £130,462 for April of last year. Auckland contributed £29,928, Wellington £26,172, Christchurch £19,113,. Dunedin £24,555. The beer [duty for April was £4935, compared with £5532 last month, and £5099 for the same, month last year. Auckland contributed £1084, Wellington £431, Christchurch £828, Dunedia £1321.
