Tit made the running for about threequarters of a mile, when Morion shared the lead, but Pinfire, coming on approaching the home turn, was first into the straight, and, beating off a great rush by Brown Alice, won by a head, Morion two lengths away third. A false start took place in this race, all the horses except Annabel completing the course, Acone coming in first, Royai Rose second, and Eve third. In thfi race proper Heart of Oak was first away, but his rider fell at the cutting, and Acone took the lead, only to give way at the half-mile post to Annabel, who came on full of running and won very easily by three lengths from Captivity, Royal Rose being close up third, and Acone fourth.
