Barley jfi in fair demand if good bright. Malting at from^s' 3d to 3s 6d ; medium, 2s 8d to 38 ; milling wanted at from 2s 3d to 2s 6d ; feed, 2s. to 2s 3d. ', Odts are now coming on the market, and we have good inquiry for all sorts. We quote prime milling, Is 6d ; good to medium feed,' la 5d to",lg sjd; inferior, Is to Is 4d ; all sacks extra, off\±Fucks. Prime Nelson hops, Is. Linseed, .Lll to Ll3 (wanted). Potatoes : We sold none below L 2. Carrots, 30s per ton, sacks extra. Onions, L 4; best Canterbury. Pigs : In good demand, JSOs to lh'Os well killed, not too fat 3id to" 31d-. Chaff : The market was fairly supplied during the week and has freely sold at from 35s to 455. Tip-top is worth from 45s to 555. Turnipß :165 t0,17s 6d. Straw, oatenand wheaten, 30s to 35s per tpp. Clover and ryegrass hay, L 3 5s to L 3 10s. Hay,-oaten, L 3. Butter: Fresh, best, 9d to lOd ; salt; in good demand. We sold all 'good parcels tohand at 9d ? packages extra ; and as the market is bare, all prime butter we quote at from 9Jd to. JQd per'lb'. Since the season commenced we sold over 1500 packages. Factory made, lid per lb, f.0.b., packages in. Eggs : Scarce. Lard, 4d to 4Jd. Honey, 4Jd to 5d for best extracted. Beeswax, Is per lb. Cheese: Factory, 4.1 d to 4Jd ; loaves id more. Best Akaroa, 4d ; medium, 3id to 3?d ; loaves Jd more. Hams and bacon : Rolls, 5Jd to 6d ; ham for flitch, 6£d ; hams, 8d ; flitches, sid. Grass seeds : Ryegrass— Farmers'; Is 93 to 2s b'd ; machined, 3s 3d to 3s 9d ; Italjan, 3s 9d to 4s 6d ; cocksfoot, 3id to 4}d. We can supply good second-hand flour and grain bags fit to hold grain.
