The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received tho following cablegram from their London office : — " Tallow : Market quiet. Fine mutton is worth 27s 3d per cwt, nominal value ; good beef tallow, 25s 9d per cwt. Frozen meat : Market dull. Price of mutton has declined Jd per lb since last report ; price of lamb has declined Jd per lb since last report; other quotations unchanged since last telegram. Hemp : New Zealand hemp— market droopiug. • Medium worth L2l per ton. The Oamaru Mail hears that Mr W. Simpson, of Otiake, has just sold, through Mi' Cooke, Oamaru, 600 bags velvet wheat at 4s at Strachan's siding.
