Octobbb 24. —We are having most favourable weather generally for agricultural operations. The sowing of o&U is all but finished, iv good order. The early town is showing above ground, aud looking well. We have had squalls of wind and rain occasionally. The rain is doing much good, bnt the wind and showers of hail have kept baok grass, oonteq'iently fcjiere is not a superfluity of keep for stock in »1I oaies The lambing season was good, and the result is » i.igh percentage of lambs. There is a greater than usual loss of sheep in this district this season Irom lurgworm and other diseases. How far overstocking or not having clean, Inviting food for them ia to blame is a matter for investigation, as notnetuing is wrong somewhere.
