In their oiroular dated Calcutta, lit June, Messrs Barry and Co. report :— Jute Fabrios.— The past fortnight has marked a •considerable drop in prices for early goods owing to a falling off in the country demand. This hns resulted iv the suspension of forward purchases by speculators, manufacturers have given way, and prices have ruled in favdur*of buyers. Woo'psvka are obtainable at As. 14$ for June, and As 14 for July-August for 11 Jib standard. For 2}lb cornsaoks for autumn shipment fls. 22-8 fs asked, but closing business for a quantlby would probably go throng h at Bt. ■22. which at preient exchange would represent a , sterling equivalent of 4s st& per dozen, 0.f.1.e. Bran bags are lower, being available at Bs. 180 for JulyAugust. Thera has been aome inquiry for ore pockets, for which sellers quote Bs, 11-8 for 20oz.
