Mr Skeiu: reports under date Jnne 80 :— With the fine open winter, farm workers are In large demand. Good men are rapidly picked up. Couples atid shepherds hare only a limited Inquiry at this seaton. Dairy people are always short of the demand, especially dairymaids, of whom there Is a complete, dearth. Babbiters are up "to the eyes " in business now, but more are wanted, and will be for years to come. Affairs in town keep moving in a halfhearted sort of way.
