New Zealand Championship.
As we are near the middle of the year now, we would like to draw the attention of our Northern "brethren 6' the brod" to the advisability of moving towards inaugurating ft New Zealand Championship. It is advisable that such a tournament should take plaoe, as the colony possesses a lot of strong players right from Auokland to Inveioargm, many of whom would willingly enter for championship honours, especially if the tournament were held about Christmas or New Tear. As the project will require time to work it up. we hope the Northern players will give it their favourable consideration, and bring it to a successful issue.-.
