WEDDING AT MILLER'S FLAT.
Wednesday lait was a gala day for tbe young folks of the Flat, tbe occasion being the marriage of Mr A. Pringle and Miss M. Smith, the second daughter of Mr W. Smith. As the youDg couple are highly esteemed among their friends and acquaintances, invitations were eagerly sought after, and a large number gathered together to do them honour in the evening at a dance held in the residence of the bride's parents. The Rev. Mr Telford united the happy couple in the bonds of matrimony, the reverend gentleman being in his happiest humour. The bride looked most becoming and expectant in a lovely gown of pale blue silk, with veil and orange blossoms. She was attended by Miss M., Pringle, as bridesmaid, in a fawn coloured silk dresn and orange trimming, looking very nice. Mr W. Smith acted as groomsman. The parents of the bride were very attentive to their guests, doing -all in their power to please. la the eveaing 1 noticed Miss Sheeny in brown silk, trimmings to match ; Misses Oowie (3) in tasteful dark coloured dresses; Miss Nellie Fringle, white Indian muslin costume, pink sash, gloves and fan to match ; Miss Snushall and a number of other young ladles in very pretty and neatlymade white dresses ; Mrs Smith (the bride's mother) in black satin ; Mrs 3. Fringle in dark-coloured cashmere. The enjoyment was kept up till daylight, when all wended their way homewards, highly pleased and delighted with the evening's amusement.
