PICNIC AND BALI. AT UNKNOWN DIGGINGS.
Our annual picnic came off on the sth mat. The weather being favourable, there was a large attendance at the picnic, and everything passed off well, la the evening a magic-lantern entertainment for the children was followed by a dance for, the children's friends. I will give a description of come of the dresses worn on the occasion. Miss Archer wore white muslin with pink sash and ribbons to match ; Misaea B. and P. Aroher, white dresses with blue and pink sashes ; the Misses Blanchard, white with coloured sashes ; Miss Beer, white relieved with, blue; Miss B. Blanchard, grey trimmed with, maroon velvet; Miss Meikle, blue trimmed with* wMte lace; Miss T. Beer, cream-coloured muslin' trimmed with brown; Mlaa Forgie, white embroidered dress ; Miis Ida Hor swell, white muslin with salmon pink sash ; Mlis Eyan, cream sateen trimmed with blue. Among the married ladles I noticed Mra Forgie, Mrs Monk, and Mrs Beer suitably dressed for the occasion.— Mountain Box.
