HONEY GATHERERS.

In summer time, when noons are warm and ttlll, And tempest-trampled ocean looks quite meek. The sunshine-loving bees, a-roving, fill The air with soothing murmurs as they seek Their winter's Bolace among summer's flowero. Like bees my thoughts are roving in the glow Of thy love's summer, while from sunny hours They gather honey, that they may endow The winter of thy absence with sweet food For reverie, *nd keep my spirit young Till summer comes again —that in the, mood Of Grecian children whose sweet voices sung : " Blth elthe chelidon " 1 I then may greet The summer of thy presence wheu we meet. March 13. — O. H. Hugo.
