First competition, October 18, 1890 ; second competition, November 29, 1890. No. 4.— Mr J. Wilkie's rod (first prize) and Mr W. Carlton's oilskin coat (second prize). Competition. Watholn Lake, Cup Day (in race week). No. s.— Trophies, presented by H. P. Thomson i jeweller. Princes street), Bing, Harris, and Co., aud special prize (mackintosh), presented by Mr Thomas Brown (of Brown, Ewing, and Co.), for the heaviest basket by an angler who has nob previously won a prize at auy competition.
