For a considerable number of years I have been in the habit of using bone dust and Maldon guino for turnips with good results. But this season I have added to the number of fertilisers by way of experimenting, and, thinking that the results might be of interest to your farmer readers, J send them to you. I may state that tbe land on whioh the experiment was oarried out is river fiat land aud heavy clay, two crops of wheat in succession having been taken oft it previous to this crop of turnip*. Although in crops and grass 25 years, it had not received any manure. I give the price of the different manures used and the results per acre; — Perowt. Tonsowtqr
The quantity of manure in every case was at the rate of sowt to the acre. Waited Eolipse were the turnips grown. It is reported that Mr W. Snow will be asked to stand for the Taieri seat.
